Truth Decayed: Modern Day Illusion

Truth Decayed. The newly formed thrash metal band from Durban has released a brand new EP called: Modern Day Illusion.

The EP is a reflection on the state of 2020. It is a beautiful chaos composed by four truth seeking artists:

Lead Vocalist, Ryno Theron, is also a solo artist that creates Progressive Ambience masterpieces. In an earlier interview with Chamoné Beere from Off Stage Podcast, Ryno discussed not adding vocals to his own music. Ryno, however, is a man of many talents as he is the lead vocalist for Truth Decayed. His vocal strategy has many of us in awe.

The songs on Truth Decayed’s new EP were made up from old riffs that Warren, guitarist, and Ryno wrote a few years ago.

Warren Jones is a guitar force to be reckoned with. He played for a metal band, Mystical Element, early in his career. To complete the upcoming Thrash Metal Band, Warren introduced Johan Maree (Bassist) and Brandon Carey (Drummer) to the band.  These two artists compliment the band perfectly.

Together these four artists have composed two brilliant songs called, ‘Modern Day Illusion’ and ‘Opposing Direction’.

It’s without a doubt an ear beating EP of sheer brilliance. The band is well balanced and each instrument is well sought after. The mix and mastering was done by engineers that clearly have a golden ear for mastering Thrash Metal music – as it is not an easy genre to produce.

The band has had some amazing feedback on the album and completely took the Trash Metal scene by the horns.

It goes without saying that this band will continue to thrive for as long as possible.

Ryno Theron, Lead Vocalist and Guitarist, is endorsed by A.S. Guitars and the band is managed by David Devo Oosthuizen from Devographic.
